About
Workplace Substance Abuse: Drugs Management for Leaders – Synthetic Drugs The "Drugs Management for Leaders" course is designed for managers who need to understand drug-related issues in the workplace. With drug use on the rise, leaders must go beyond implementing no-drugs policies to recognising signs of drug misuse, investigating workplace incidents, and managing the business impacts of drug-related issues. This module examines three dangerous synthetic drugs, their effects, and legal controls. It covers Bath Salts, linked to severe effects such as paranoia and hallucinations, and their fluctuating mortality rates compared to MDMA. Synthetic Marijuana is discussed for its high toxicity and unpredictable behaviours, illustrated by a case study of a public safety incident. NBOMe, associated with unlawful killings, is analysed through legal cases, highlighting the workplace impact of losing employees or dealing with drug-related violence. Participants will explore the demographic profiles of users, the effects on workplace morale and productivity, and strategies for rebuilding team spirit after incidents. Each session ends with a quiz, and a certificate is awarded upon completion. DSRM Risk & Crisis Management
