The Hidden Dangers of Self-Medication on the Job
This sample session sits within a four-module programme shaped in part by what The Crane Investigation (Section 6) uncovered about depressant drugs, the way they can trigger or deepen low mood, especially when cut with other depressants or used alongside alcohol.
Those patterns were not abstract findings; they surfaced repeatedly in workers’ accounts of trying to cope with pain or stress. In this module we walk through those risks clearly and without judgement, using a short video to present the material exactly as learners experience it. The aim is to give teams a grounded understanding of how depressant drugs actually behave in the body, and why seemingly “functional” use can slide into real danger.
